Account types explained

Mercati supports several account types, each designed for different purposes.

Current accounts are for everyday banking — receiving salary, making payments, and managing daily expenses. They come with a sort code and account number for UK domestic payments.

Savings accounts offer a place to set aside money. They may have different interest rates and access conditions.

Business accounts are designed for commercial use with features like multi-signatory authorisation and higher transaction limits.
